Eastern Union Funding Promotes David Merkin to Vice President

Eastern Union Funding (Eastern Union) has promoted David Merkin to the position of Vice President, it was announced today by senior managing director Marc Tropp, who manages the firm’s mid-Atlantic region office in Bethesda, Maryland.
Merkin represents commercial real estate owners with properties in the mid-Atlantic region, who are looking for acquisition or construction financing, or to refinance. While the firm advises on all property types, he specializes in the hotel, multifamily and retail sectors.
“David is very perceptive and persistent, which enables him to successfully pair up clients with the right lenders,” said Tropp. “He is a valuable member of our team, which has seen a nearly 200 percent increase in volume this past year.”
Merkin was previously a senior loan consultant and has been with Eastern Union for six years.
